Account Manager Benelux region

As Account Manager Benelux, you will play a key role in developing and growing strategic customer relationships within the Sports and Nutritional Supplements market. Based in Amsterdam, you will combine commercial insight, technical knowledge and a hands-on mindset to drive sustainable growth across the Benelux region.

What you will be doing

We are looking for an Account Manager Benelux region to join our Sales team in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned customers, including channel development, promotions, price, presentation, distribution and product development in the field of functional ingredients destined for Sports and Nutritional Supplements.
  • Monitor account development and performance, update plans regularly based on (own) analysis or trends and developments, monitor return on investments.
  • Act as business partner for accounts and support accounts in optimizing business, using qualitative and quantitative market insights, and in-depth technical and product expertise.
  • Prepare (proposals for) contracts, negation strategy and lead negotiations; ensure proper administration of agreements and contracts; continuously control and file (ERP) forecast data.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand network of (strategic) external and internal relations, including detecting and realizing new business opportunities in cooperation with other functional disciplines.
  • Pursue operational matters internally within the multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in fairs where Vaneeghen is exhibiting e.g. in Barcelona, Frankfurt and London where needed.

Qualifications

  • Account planning, (contract) negotiation and value-based selling skills
  • Communication/people skills, internal & external networking skills
  • Multi-tasking, organizational and reporting skills (sales admin and master data) and time management skills
  • New Business Development skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, food science or related fields. MSc or MBA is a plus
  • (Near) native verbal and written skills in both Dutch and English
  • A proven track record of successful business relationships in Benelux region
  • One other European language is considered a plus
  • Computer skills, preferably already (some) experience working with ERP (Business Central) and CRM
  • Understanding of professional sales processes, value-based selling and dynamics
  • Prior experience in a commercial role is a must
  • Prior experience in the functional food ingredients industry
